Captain Aztral: Space Log Entry #715145-171914
Many of our comrades have suddenly went missing. Just like when I did on my own crew long ago on Interstellar 61524. A memory I wish I can always forget. But it haunts me whenever a bad situation relates to it. Now my new crew and I have likely traced where they have disappeared. The coordinates screamed 47-01. One of my crewmates suspected danger and wanted to turn back towards HQ, but I said we shall proceed under my orders. Upon landing we are graced with a pathway leading towards a portal. I walk out first staring dead into its gaping mouth and told my crew the last thing they'd ever hear of me.
" I'm going in and if I don't return, don't risk looking for me. I don't need anymore of us going missing. "
They wanted to stop me. I know they did. Some of them were held back by others that wanted to go after me as they yelled and hollered my name, telling me not to go. I didn't look back at them. I just kept walking forward down the pathway with seriousness in my gaze, my ears perked back and my hands clenched. I disappeared once and i'm risking disappearing again in order to protect everyone else from going through the same nightmare I went through. I was dissolved alive by getting too close to the gravity pull of a star's core. Who knows what new nightmare this portal will bring.
