I'm just making new characters left and right these days. A little backstory, then.
Tharon (Pronounced Tar-on) is a mercenary with a lot of pent-up rage. Fire dragons are susceptible to bouts of anger and it takes discipline, and some love and encouragement to properly control. Tharon's childhood had more than enough discipline, but lacked compassion on behalf of his stern and violent father who never learned to mitigate his anger.
As soon as Tharon grew big and strong enough to handle himself, he struck out into the world to seek mercenary work. Wielding twin axes that set alight with fire, Tharon made a name for himself as The Inferno. He was named as such because of his berserker rage and fiery temper, but also his axes.
His mercenary career hit a set-back when a prospective client, offering Tharon enough money to retire on, captured and hauled him off to a fighting arena. In the combatant pens, between battling for the spectator's amusement, Tharon made the acquaintance of a sorceress-in-training. Filled with an unusual protectiveness of the little dragoness, Tharon co-ordinated an escape with his fellow gladiators.
On the run from the syndicate who organised the fights, Tharon must exercise vigilance if he hopes to protect himself and his companion from harm. Will his developing feelings for her hinder his efforts, or help them elude their pursuers?
Seraphina's parents were poor, barely able to provide for their daughter. At the age of fourteen, Seraphina's latent magical abilities manifested themselves, attracting the attentions of the mage school. Offering Seraphina food, shelter, and most of all, prospects for the future, her parents packed her bags and sent her away to a better life.
Unfortunately, Seraphina was bullied and belittled by her classmates. Being the only child with pauper parents in the midst of the sons and daughters of wealth and nobility, Seraphina suffered terribly. While failing socially, academically she thrived. Eager and excited to learn about magic and the world, Seraphina excelled, equaling the aptitude of her peers.
At age 19, on a trip into the city with her classmates, Seraphina separated from her group and was captured by "talent scouts" from a gladiatorial arena. Scared, but putting on a brave face, Seraphina made friends with a gruff, but polite mercenary. With her new friendship came escape, and a growing affection for her protector. But Seraphina must return to school and avoid the thugs responsible for her capture. Although that doesn't mean she can't fall in love on the way.

Because Arathor and Celestie can't abandon their royal duties to go gallivanting on adventures, these two will serve the role much better. You may notice Seraphina has the same scale colour as Celestie's kobold form. I loved it so much i used it again. Now you know.
