A rare example of something I completed before I took writing classes in college. Yeah... I wrote this in 2010 after reading what I thought was a pretty crappy story by an otherwise good writer. Nancy Kress was her name, and... I don't remember the name of the story, only that the characters controlled elements, the kid woke up in a hospital, and there was a REALLY cringey Harry Potter reference, alongside Nintendo product placement. I know the collection was called "Wizards," I just don't remember the editor.
Anyway, so I wrote the first paragraph of this story in retaliation. "Fallacelloquey" (I don't even know if I spelled that right) was a word I picked off a list of extinct words from phrontistery.info. And the Ettils are based on what I envisioned Loki to act like in Son of the Mask, before I saw it, which yes, I acknowledge, is fecal film-making. I had bad tastes back then, give me a break. I also know my spelling and grammar was lousy. I just want to show-case this so you know the whole scope of my writing.
