It depends. Most pokemon lore points to the confines of a pokeball actually being fairly comfortable. Also I'm one of those weird ones into bondage. And additionally, a transformation buff. A relatively short people confined in a safe space is minor compared to a lot of the drawbacks found in other transformation triggers and processes XD

Well, yes… I won't argue that it turns the subject into pure light or whatever. However, think of it like the current pandemic lockdown scenario. Being a comfortable place you cannot leave. (An imprecise example, but whatever.)
