And that's the end. The firework is supposed to be a callback to the first page of this comic; it reads "Squidward's Suicide". Mr. Whisker saying, "This is WAY too mean-spirited" references a common stereotype surrounding Mr. Enter: him being overly sensitive to mean-spiritedness in cartoons. It's true to an extent, but not entirely true. He likes Ed, Edd n' Eddy, which is a SUPER mean-spirited show. Also, I believe this ending was inspired by the Tom & Jerry cartoon The Yankee Doodle Mouse.
