I'm gonna be honest here, between surviving in the post-apocalyptic wasteland or getting gulped and gurgled by a nightstalker, I'll take the latter. So much less hassle.

The Mohave wasteland is a lot less grim than some areas of the franchise. There are parts what are actually quite pretty and there is open water that isn't even radioactive. Of course the pretty mountain areas tend to have horrible giant wasps, but still. 83

As long as the franchise goes to the western mountains in Idaho and Montana where my mom's family is from, and makes the game single player, and not under BADthesda, I think it would be a great game. The scenery out there is gorgeous. When I was ~6 or 7, Grandpa took everyone up this one mountain that he knew had a dinky little lake pond thing at the very very top that had some decent sized fish. The fish were a beautiful deep green and the water was so clear you could see through it end to end from thirty some feet away, across its entire length of forty or so, and every plant and animal in the water. The area was surrounded by high cliffs on all sides and the open sky above a perfect baby blue with a slight trim of thin wispy clouds that were just barely thirty feet up from us, and then there was the snowy caps on the mountain, literally four feet up the cliff side, calmly dripping into the water to replenish the lake.
Idaho is gorgeous, and the name literally means "Gems in the hills" in the local native american languages. An apt description of that little pond.
Rest In Peace Richard Barker, rest well in the Manda with your shiny pine casket, exploring every little body of water you can find to see if heaven has fish.
(He routinely would know of bodies of water that even forest rangers had no idea existed and would go there just to see if they had fish in them. EVERY BODY OF WATER IN THE U.S. ON ANY MAP HE COULD FIND AND THEN SOME)

Lore-wise, Nightstalkers actually CAN swallow human-sized prey whole... Too bad it's a different thing gameplay-wise.

And yet their lairs are full of dismembered skeletons. Maybe they got the coyote half of the digestive system and cough up the bones, like an owl.

Or maybe the bones just come out through the other end.

Given the skeletons are usually in big chunks, like head and torso, I doubt it. That hole is only so big. 83

The graphics in NV, while adequate, do not make this obvious. If Charisma weren't useless in NV I'd take Animal Friend so I could see for myself. 83

Yeah I agree. I just got really interested in them for a while and did a bunch of reading on them and their lore. I really hope to see them make a comeback in a future game. <3 Really great critters!

IF thay want to IF being the oprative word here

There are some ifs here. IF the nightstalker's owner asks him to cough the guy up (whether he talks or not), IF Rattles actually obeys, IF the guy decides to talk in the first place. There are a lot of ifs between him and safely, it's much more likely he gets a trip through Rattles no matter what. 83
