This is the 1st story I made just for fun. I came up the idea when I was bored.
Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and Gideon Grey belong to Disney.
Once upon an afternoon in Zootopia, Nick was walking around town. “Hmm… since today is my birthday, I think I should splurge today.” he thought to himself. “A big birthday meal would be good… maybe a big cake too” he continued in his mind. “Oh! Or... maybe I should buy something I like…” he wondered. The fox continued walking around town while thinking about what to spend his money with.
He then came across a magic lamp in a trash can. “Hmm... who would throw away such a good lamp?” he said, looking at the lamp. He took the lamp and took another good look at it. “Maybe I’ll bring this home as a decoration.” he continued. “I’ll just give it a little cleaning. Maybe a genie will come out of it too. Hehe…” he added jokingly as he wiped the lamp with his shirt.
Suddenly, some smoke started coming out off the lamp, making the fox throw it to the sidewalk in panic. A genie in the form of a wolf then came out of the lamp. “Thank you for freeing me from the lamp, Fox.” said the genie. “And for that, I will grant you three wishes.” he continued as Nick just stood there in shock. “Are you… real…?” said Nick in denial. “Yes, I am,” the genie answered. “But only those who freed me from the lamp can see me.” he continued. Nick rubbed his eyes in disbelief, only to still be able to see the genie. He waved the air and where the genie was, but was unable to touch him. “Is this some kinda hologram?” Nick wondered in his mind as he didn’t want the genie to respond to his question, knowing the answer he would get.
“As a proof of my existence, Fox, I want you to say your first wish.” the genie said to Nick. He then thought about what his first wish would be, only to be interrupted by his stomach’s rumbling. “Alright, then. For my first wish, I wish to have a big lunch on my birthday!” he answered the genie. The genie snapped his fingers and went back into his lamp. Nothing had happened at the moment, making Nick confirm in his mind that the genie was just a hologram or some sort.
Suddenly, he saw Judy came toward him. “Hey, Nick. I ordered two sandwiches today but I think I could only eat one.” she said. “Do you want to have the other?” she continued. “Oh, sure.” he replied as he was given the sandwich to his paw. “Thanks, Carrots.” he continued and proceeded to eat it. As he finished eating, Gideon’s pie truck passed by, only to stop working not far from where Nick was standing. “Oh no!” said Gideon panicking. Nick came by him, wondering on what was going on. “I was supposed to deliver these new ice-cream cakes to the bakery.” Gideon said to Nick. “But the bakery is too far away and if I don’t get these delivered quickly, the ice cream cakes will melt and go bad.” he continued. “Do you want to have some? I think I can give them away for free since there’s nothing much to do now.” he added. “Um… sure.” Nick answered. Gideon gave him a cake from the truck and Nick started eating it. “Man, this is delicious!” Nick said as he continued to eat the cake.
“BURRP* That was really good, but I think I’ve had enough for now.” Nick said to Gideon. “Oh, really? I was hoping you would want some more.” Gideon replied. “Thanks, but no thanks.” said Nick. “Maybe I’ll call a few people to share the cakes with instead.” he continued. “But, I guess I can go for another bite…” he added. As he finished eating the second cake, Gideon offered him more cakes. Nick rejected and called nearby citizens but no one seemed to reply. However, as he turned back to Gideon, Gideon held another cake and shoved it to his mouth, as if Gideon were in a trance. “You said you wanted to eat them, Nick.” said Gideon. “You don’t want them to go bad, do you?” he continued.
Nick ate the cake in a single swallow and yelled for help from nearby citizens, hoping Gideon would share the rest of the cakes with them. Nick’s face went from panicking to being relieved as he saw them coming, but he became shocked as the citizens came not with empty stomachs, but with food on their paws. The citizens came toward him as if they, too, were being hypnotized. Just like Gideon, they offered him their food, and some even shoved it down his mouth.
Nick tried to run away from them, but came across more and more citizens who offered him food. Some even thought he was hungry, or even starving. With more and more food being eaten, Nick’s body became fatter and fatter. His stomach started to grow bigger and heavier. His clothes would slowly became tighter, making the gaps between the buttons of his green shirt bigger and bigger. His belt started giving more pressure to his continuously-fed belly but all he could think of is running away from the citizens, making it eventually snap. As his body continued to get bigger and heavier, running became more and more difficult to the point that Nick finally stopped running.
Nick panted and tried to run away from the citizens coming toward him, but his legs had finally become exhausted to support his now ten-foot-tall body and he could only sit down as the citizens kept coming. He then suddenly realized to make another wish to the genie. “So, how do you like your first wish, Fox?” the genie said to him as he came out of the lamp. “I said I want a big lunch like in a party, not being fattened up.” he answered. “You see, Fox. When you wish to a genie, the catch is that you have to be very, very specific.” the genie replied. “If not, it’s only a matter of luck of getting exactly what you wanted.” he continued. “Um… alright, then.” the fox replied. Nick then tried to think harder to get exactly what he wanted for the second wish as he had to wish himself out of the situation. “Oh, I think I got it: I wish to lose all this weight!” he asked the genie. “Are you sure about that wish?” the genie replied. “Yes, and… umm… the citizens stop trying to feed me.” the fox replied. The genie then snapped his fingers and went back to the lamp again.
All of a sudden, all the citizens stopped coming toward him and continued on with their business. “Phew! I’m glad that’s all over! *UUURRP!*” Nick said in relief. He then looked down on his body to see nothing changing. “Hmm… must be a slow weight loss, just like my first wish…” he continued. He then tried standing up and walking and, as expected, walking became easier and easier for him. However, his point of view started rising and rising. He looked down again to see that he was no longer on the ground but he was flying! His body didn’t even become any smaller, it started to become bigger.
Nick’s body started to fill up with helium, becoming lighter and rounder as time passed by. He could hear his stomach bubbling as all the food and fat in his body turned into helium. His clothes started to feel tighter again as his body kept inflating and flying to the sky. This time, he could feel his buttons wanting to pop from his shirt, and he could only hope the same thing would never happen to his pants. The fox belched and belched to relieve the pressure that kept building up as his body continued to balloon, but to no use as his body wouldn’t shrink as fast as it grew. His belches also grew bigger and louder, just like his body, and he would keep belching as his body kept inflating.
Nick’s hands and legs started inflating and separating as time went on and sank into his body. Nick became double his previous size, and he only grew bigger and wider, flying higher and higher. Although his body kept feeling tighter and tighter, buttons started being ejected one by one from his shirt, making him also feel more and more relieved. The more helium filled his body, the more he became light-headed, and now Nick had become triple the size when he was fat.
As his body became more and more used to the helium filling it up, Nick slowly gained concentration and thought of a wish to stop inflating and flying. Although at first he had trouble rubbing the lamp, he figured out that he could try to rub the lamp against his shirt. “Enjoying the flight, Fox?” the genie asked Nick in jest. “I knew you had a talent being in a balloon competition!” he continued jokingly with a little laughter but Nick could only roll his eyes. “Listen, I think I *UUURRRP* know what I want to for my final wish *BUUUURRRP*.” he said to the genie. “I wish to deflate! *BUUURRRRP!*” he continued. The genie asked Nick to confirm his wish, and Nick confirmed what he said.
As the genie snapped his wings, him and his magic lamp disappeared before Nick’s very eyes. Nick was surprised but still waited for something to happen. Suddenly, he felt like a big belch is coming out. *BUUUUUURRRP!* The belch that came out made him felt relieved and he could hear more and more gas was trying to escape his body. He then let out a really massive and long belch, making him deflate like a balloon. He flew around everywhere fast as he deflated. His body started shrinking from the chest down, feeling less and less full. He felt more and more able to move his arms and legs as they started deflating and stopped sinking into his body. At the same time, Nick started going downwards to the ground as he has less and less helium in his body. All he could hope for is to crash-land on the sidewalk.
With little helium, Nick’s beach ball-like body started bouncing on the sidewalk, getting less and less round until he wass fully flat like paper. “I knew I should wish for everything being back to normal instead.” he sighed. He then saw Judy walk toward him and called her name. “Nick? What happened to you?” Judy asked him in shock. “You won’t BELIEVE what happened to me, but I’m so glad to be back.” Nick answered her in relief. “Well… you are, I guess…” Judy replied in confusion. “I think I should get you reinflated, but I think I might use you like a blanket or a scarf instead.” she continued. “Hmm… you know, Carrots, at first I wouldn’t have agreed with your idea but after all that's happened to me, I agree!” he replied. “But maaaaybeee I should get reinflated tomorrow, though.” he continued. As they agreed to the idea, they headed back to Judy’s place and had some rest on the night.
