Sniper sucks ass as a person. He sucks so much ass that the guy who made him up says that out of the literal hundreds of characters he's made over the course of several manga series and two anime series, Sniper is by far his least favorite character. Personally I like Sniper as a villain because he makes me laugh - he's so petty he becomes pitiful. He's so snide he becomes bratty. If he didn't murder people, he'd just be an overgrown child throwing a years long, lowkey tantrum. This is why my favorite scene of his is when he's dangling helplessly from a tree, both swearing and begging for help. It perfectly summarizes the asshole's entire personality and arc. Makes me kinda bummed they made him a cyborg in the sequel. Why ruin how lame he is when it's one of his defining features?

Black Dobermans exist, and I was tempted to make Sniper one, but I caved and made him mostly normal. I've never been sure whether or not he's meant to have markings on his legs, but the grey socks he has in the anime are so iconic to him and so unique that I couldn't pass up adding them in. He's also got a gimpy sort of collar because he's a brutal little oddball. Also I can't not imagine him speaking with a thick German accent. A big how-to-do is made about certain Ginga characters' breeds being Western, but how many are actually from the West? Sniper confirmed immigrant.
