This pose kind of got away from me and became what I like to call a "chaotic, meaningless pose" which is something I'm trying so hard to avoid now, but I think I'll get better with Buck the more times I draw him and gain more control!

I re-read it a few weeks before getting to see it since the last time I read it was over 10 years ago! And you're right, it was changed a bit, but thankfully mostly just to make it "family-friendly". Other than that, I have to admit I don't think I've ever seen a movie stay closer to its original story! Of course I prefer the darker tone of the book, but I'll take a family-friendly version if it means I get emotive cartoon doggos. 🐾

I wanted to see it in theaters so bad, it was going to be a B-day gift to myself, but the day I decided to go was the day they closed all the theaters here! And I was worried it wouldn't have as much of an impact on me if I watched it at home, but I was pleasantly surprised that I did enjoy every bit of it!
The book was a favorite of mine as a kid and it stayed very true to it. So that, plus cartoon dogs, earns it my love!!
