The party has lost one of its members it would seem.
Having wondered off alone into the woods and captured by a giant.

The party leader trying to negotiate with the giant to hand over their friend.
But the giant wont let up his catch.
"why not just wipe the whole party?"

Well that wouldnt be very good sport. The giant has no interest in the rest of the party members.
So the party has to cut their losses and say farewell to their party member who will no doubt be eaten.
