Asterix, Obelix and Dogmatix in my style
I'll be completely honest with you guys, Asterix and Obelix wasn't really a part of my childhood. Such a damn shame I had to grow up without them… Only later did I get to know them better. I can't make up that time, but I wanted to make a little tribute. I frickin love all the comics and the movies! I can't get enough of them!
So this is how I would imagine them in my style. Somehow I really wanted to see Asterix in baggy pants. Dogmatix got a schnauzer approach from me. Obelix didn't really change much, but it's up for you to say :) I hope you like them in my style.
And just a side note. I finished this picture weeks ago, I just never got around to actually upload it. I'm really sad, because during that time, I heard that their original artist died. So I guess this should be a tribute to him too.

I have two volumes of Axterix. They're from my mom, she bought them when she was in college in order to learn your language; and despite I don't speak French, I understand the story and the best of this: I can't stop laughing😂.

I had the luck to grow up with them and i still love the comics and movies! Even if i actually only knew Dogmatix as "Idefix" before. XD
And yes, the passing of Albert Uderzo was a great loss. Just like the time when René Goschinny died so many years ago.

Wow, that's cool to hear! ^^ I think I was on my way to develop my own style when I got to really know these comics and their style better, and they helped me to push forward. Not just art wise, but spirit wise as well. Like how to be kind and funny at the same time in a charming way with your style. And the poses and emotions were all very expressive.
It's really unrelated but I really like your avatar XD It's so rare to see anteater characters, and the big and animated paws in a cute way is such a big bonus.

As for the comics, I got started with Asterix before my older brother gave me his huge collection of Tintin. And in recent times I've been collecting Spirou, Marsupilami and Gaston comics. The latter of which is a riot to read. So funny. xD Percevan is incredibly underrated. There isn't as much humour in it but the adventure is really good!
I should be drawing my favorite characters from each of the comics!

I only ever saw an animated movie of them back when I was a kid, that was like in teh late 80s. Even then I had no idea who they were or the comic.
I only found a book with most of the comics at a local HalfPrice Books and its pretty sweet.
It's sad too hear the creator passed away this year from teh damn cor19 :C
