The official word is that it's halted or on hiatus, but with how IDW was doing and this crisis going on I think it's likely IDW will go under soon, by the end of the year or sometime next year. It's a really popular run too so it's likely another publisher will pick it up and continue it. I really hope they don't just reboot it or they have the IDW run alongside a new one if they want to start up another run. I'm also hoping they recruit most of the artists and the head writer/artist Sophie Campbell if that happens.
Yeah I'm glad they solidified their relationship before all this. Still I want to see them have more moments like that hug in 104 if the comic continues.

I think what bothered me more was that Alopex was sidelined after issue 66 until City at War. She at least had some good side stuff in the Universe series and the Raphael Macro, but it sucked having her just barely be in the main comic for that time. I'm glad she confronted Kitsune in issue 100, if anyone was going to mess up her plans by saving Karai it was her, and I'm really glad her relationship with Raph is thriving. Here's hoping the comic continues after all this, though it might be under a different publisher if IDW goes under.
im a pessimist so i don't think it'll happen
i hope it happen
i want it to happen
but i don't think it will
i mostly think that, if theres a new turtle comic, it will either be unrelated to this story or another reboot
altough in these cases, we could get another alopex. she is a pretty popular character afterall. it just wouldn't be our alopex.

I'm thinking we'll get a TV show with Alopex actually being a main character, not just an out of character cameo. A lot of fans are clamoring for a TV show based off the IDW comic, but I kind of think Eastman wants each series to be it's own thing. Personally I don't mind this too much as I like Starforce Media's motion comic for the IDW comic

and it's close enough to a TV show that I'm not complaining. I just wish it was further along and did more than 5 to 6 issues every 4 to 5 months, there's 200+ issues and they've only done 1/4th of them in 4 years. I also wish more people read this comic too, even though it is one of the more popular comics out there.
I wouldn't mind a new TV show with Alopex being a bit different, but I would like a similar character arc as it was very well done in the comic, I'd also like her to be coupled with Raph again as well. Oh and for the love of god they better not turn her into a generic fox like they did in the 2012 show and keep her iconic look from the comic.

well, i certainly wouldn't mind a cameo in Rise of the TMNT, even if its only that
Speaking of the 2012 version, one thing she did have that our white alopex doesn't is a distinctive outfit. sure, the "bandaged breasts only" is one thing but it wouldn't fly on TV, thats for sure.
so imagine white alopex with a simlar outfit

Yeah I hope so too. She's a pretty established character in the comic and the fact she got a cameo in the 2012 show does mean she has staying power. Even if the IDW comic ends I'm pretty sure she'll show up as a character in a TV show, movie, or comic later down the road. Though due to the fact that they like to refresh the continuity for every new series it's likely she'll be a different character for that. This is why I'm hoping for an actual recreation of the IDW comic as a TV show, or at least taking a lot of the plot and character elements from the comic and applying them to the TV show.
