Make me miss my birds so much! Really is a 'fuck off' for poeple that can't believe a bird can't love just because they are feathered and don't have fur and lay eggs instead of live birth.
Birds are among the most loving animals I know! I use to have a little male cockatiel who you always knew when he was on the nest, he use to SING to his eggs, the whole time! If that's not a great dad, then I don't know dads!

Not the mention the FUNNEST animals out there! Seriously, I've lived with just about every domestic animal out there (despite birds not being domestic), cats, dogs, ferrets, rodents, horses, etc. and while I loved them all NONE of them are anywhere near as fun as Tiki. I came home earlier today and he starts rocking out the moment I walk in the door, which of course got ME singing and dancing, and before I knew what was going on, we were having our own personal dance party XD How many people can say THAT'S happened with their cat!?

Tiki is extremely sweet - to me x3 As most birds are to the people who are good to them and treat them with the respect they deserve. He wouldn't hesitate to take the finger off of a stranger though.

I've seen birds that are bitches to their owners, too. 8| Sigh.

Most people who get birds throw the bird in a cage and never let it out, ignore warning signs the bird gives them when it wants to be left alone, and expect the bird to be totally okay with all this. Birds aren't like cats or dogs. They're still wild animals and don't play by human rules. Living with a parrot requires you to meet them have way or have fun with a screaming hostile animal that would be more likely to take your eye out then obey you.
