i have a tendency to draw out sadder things sometimes, whether bc of personal feelings or just because it's what feels like a good drawing topic - this one was one of those kinds of mixes between the two! feels nice to get the drawings out though regardless. and aaaa thank you so much 💕 shadows/highlighting are one of my fav things to do!

it's something that comes easier sometimes more than others! sometimes all i can draw is something very personal-emotions based and it's hard to avoid, yet sometimes i just can't feel enough that i sort of have to just go with the mood of a setting/piece or just doodle about n get ideas for the emotion meaning to be conveyed! and it's definitely something you get more used to trying to flesh out of (or flesh into, if someone struggles with putting feelings INTO their piece and want to) with practice and a little bit when it comes to making gifts or commissions, or fanart, haha.

but yeah it's just fun to draw in general though, and i don't think putting emotions into every work is even a bad thing!! it's good to feel for the piece(s) you do and get into it, and it can help convey a lot more emotion behind something that, while still would've been good, conveys more because you poured your heart into expressing something, sometimes!!
