This is what Bob Ross would have called a happy little accident. This was actually my first attempt at my Jackalope mask. All things were going well until the shaping phase. Something went wrong and and the lower portion of of the left ear (right from how you are seeing it) got scorched and it wrinkled the leather. I didn't take the loss well, I had already put a lot of work into it. Well there was nothing to be done about it I would have to start on a new mask. ... but ... to discard this one would be such a wast of leather ... So the idea came to me. Let's screw this one up more and make it a dark alter ego mask.

So I set about doing more to it. Almost the same paint job just the addition of the lines being filled in red. The one ear was already damaged so I took a welding torch to the other one. (Trust me I did it out side cause burnt leather stinks!) Scratched across the eye and busted one of the antlers and lightly burnt both.

I am not sure if I am done mangling this one or not but for now I like where I am going with it. I also should come up with some kind of back story for that alter ego. Welp I hope you enjoy my happy little accident!
