This is a pricking iron that I have made recently. I can safely say this is my most successful failures ever.
This tool is used to poke a row of holes into hard leather before it is sewn.
Now, this originally had 4 tines. When I hardened it while I was out in the woods and making charcoal, I made a stupid mistake of bending one of the tines with my tong, ya know trying to make sure it was actually hardenable steel. It was hardened after I dunked it in a can of oil.
It will still serve its purpose, but I do want to make a whole new 4 tine pricking iron.
