I've been wanting to get a nice portrait of Shardaron for a long while and Celrasa has such a cool style! She was kind enough to accept my commission and did an amazing job.
Shardaron wasn't always the nice guy he is now. There is quite the dramatic moment in his life that causes him to repent and turn towards good. A moment of fire and snow. This picture could easily be from that event.

It’s a bit of a long story. All his life Shardaron was raised to believe in Weya (God) but he never really had any real relationship with Him. Shardaron just did whatever he thought was right. This cognitive/spiritual dissonance, which he didn’t even realize was going on, caused him to suffer. At the time, Shardaron lived in a mountain cave that was near a village/town and a fortress that overlooked a mountain pass. One day, a group of knights from the fortress were sent to slay him. Up to this point, Shardaron made a point never to kill another sentient. Even with his distant relationship with Weya he still knew murder was wrong. He was just at his breaking point when these knights came. He snapped (stressed induced psychosis) and slaughtered them. He recognized the banner the knights were flying as from the nearby fortress and flew there and burned it out. This is the fire and snow. It was this moment that caused him to take his faith more seriously, return to Weya, and turn his life around.
