Well whatever you're doing it's definitely working! Keep at it, there are people who take 4 years just to figure out how proportions work, you're definitelly higher than you think.

Yeah, that unfortunately sounds about right, but that's one of the obstacles an artist has to overcome. . .which I'm still working on :/. Thanks for the kind words as well!

Tbh, i've seen myself get better with values with some light studies of faces and such, but you do seem to have a very good control overall uvu
Maybe just add a second light to give some more form to the shadows, but you're definitely very solid with your values.

Also, wonderful paw works, i love your cube-like decostrunction of paws planes!

I love how you don't have much of an outline for the pads making it look natural as the fur surrounds it. The wrinkles on both the curled foot and the slight crevices on the outstretched one are a fantastic touch and I one other thing I appreciate is the arch of the foot being shown there even if it's very lightly drawn in. The shape if the paws seem perfect to me but you also did her backside quite well. <3
