Poor writing mostly.
For some reason when the original version of this page was made I tried to build some suspense by putting Ryan and Sara in a house that had a 'demolition to occur on X day' sign so they'd have to hurry or get caught in the destruction.
It didn't really serve any point to the plot at all and was pretty random.
