Yep, at the end they get a little tweak to their original personalities to fit their bodies more. Satina in particular seems excited about it.

Imaging what adapting to this new life would be like, both of their personalities are different, they have completely different bodies, The person who became Lucia is now the ruler of hell, and both friends have become female. You really can’t make the situation any more difficult.

I realize I'm kinda late to the party, but I just recently stumbled across the show that these two are from -- I recognized Satina from the thumbnail thanks to this piece, and figured I'd check it out. Gotta say, it really feels like the sort of thing Maxwell Atoms might've cooked up... and I love it.

His sense of humor really relied on the juxtaposition of the mundane and familiar against the surreal and absurd -- there's nothing particularly outlandish about Billy and Mandy on their own, or the slice of suburban Americana they call home, but mix in the fact that their new BFF is the Grim Reaper himself and hey presto, you've got a comedy. The Jamaican accent's just a bonus bit of absurdity. (The setup of Evil con Carne is similar, when you think about it -- evil genius bent on world domination is pretty standard 007 fare, and the brain-in-a-jar trope is pretty well-worn... but what if the brain was implanted in a giant purple circus bear?)

Very true. The similarity with Satina being that it's a fairly mundane family dynamic but with a giant lord of hell.

At first, I just found myself wondering how in blazes Dave and Lucia met -- but the more I thought about it, the more it started making a twisted sort of sense that the Queen of Hell would hook up with The Guy from IT Support. I mean, that's a line of work that's practically Hell for both the people who work there and everyone forced to call them for any reason.
