The story of what took place in Moss Mother Cavern has the quality of a tall tale, something that one does not repeat in official documentation. However, I can tell you that I was present when Leoncillo brought the biggest cave bear pelt I had ever seen to our offices in Windhelm. Its condition was... not ideal, to be sure, but its sheer size was enough to prove that the management had underestimated the wildlife of Skyrim, and that everyone Leoncillo had ever known had underestimated his talents.
Being merchants, we could not lavish him with praise and gold for his defeat of Big Jerome, but we didn't send him away empty-handed and paid a fair price for 20 bear pelts of various quality. Jerome had his impact on Leoncillo as well, leaving a scar on his face, but the hunter was extraordinarily lucky to have kept his head, nevermind his complexion.
Even as we settled into our soft, comfy beds and wreathed ourselves in warm, cozy furs we lost sleep knowing that there were likely other beasts like Jerome out there. A word started to circulate through the Company offices and has entered our official correspondence: Bearmageddon.
