They watched all available episodes and both acknowledged that it was stunning beautiful. They also greatly appreciated the amount of practical effects. The only problem they had was the same problem all prequels have: It is a closed world and you know how it will turn out.

I had to retrace my steps since it's been so long since you first asked that question (genuinely sorry about that, didn't really examine layout of my user profile page until now and just read that notification that you replied to my comment), it's because he noticed the book Faeries by Brain Froud on the table of her sitting room in the text of part one of this six part transformation sequence.
