More from Wotan
I come from a family that is a long line of snowbirds stretching back for four generations now, all the way back to my Maternal Great Grandfather, who died during a snowbird trip to Florida, all the way back in the early 1920s, with The 1914-1918 Great War, and the last Great Pandemic of 1918 as recent, painful memories, and the Great Depression and the Second World War as future horrors that he would not live to see, at least on that final, sunny Florida spring afternoon, where Florida welcomed his spirit to Her Breast, and my family first earned their true Snowbird Wings.
(cue up the appropriate Anne Murray music right here)…
This is nothing more and nothing less than my own little love letter to Fair Florida through the eyes that only a Snowbird can truly possess.
