My Magic Grandpa + Over the Garden Wall
And here we have an Over The Garden Wall crossover with Coach baring the lantern for The Beast! I forgot to post this earlier. >_>
“You don’t want your wife’s light to go out, do you?”
For context, Coach's wife died over 10 years ago, and he'd honestly do anything to see her again. The Beast could have easily taken advantage of him and made him carry the lantern with the promise of keeping his wife's flame alive.
OTGW is an absolutely stunning mini series with beautiful backgrounds, captivating nostalgic music, great characters, and an absolutely amazing story. It’s got great funny moments, intense dramatic moments, but overall has a sort of calming effect due to the always smooth music that plays. The lore is fantastic, every time I watch it I find something new that I missed.
It’s about two brothers who find themselves lost in a strange forest known as “The Unknown”. They try to find their way home but come across a lot of strange and sometimes frightening things as they wander in search of a way back.
And it’s only about 2 hours long to watch the whole thing, so if you haven’t yet I’d recommend it, especially during Halloween because it has a lot of spooky, fall themes to it.
This show is without a doubt one of my bigger inspirations for MMG, and is one of my favorite cartoon series out there, so it deserves this place in the crossover lineup.
