The art train hasn't been moving all that fast lately so these were going to stay as sketches, but they turned out so well that I finished them anyway. ;u; I've adjusted his proportions a little bit since his first ref sheet, but I won't fully explore that until I do his rotation.
I knew I'd have to do an Ace Attorney joke with Corvus eventually given that he is a member of Virgo's court, so now seemed like an appropriate time. xD His favourite thing to do when ending a session is to bang the gavel, so much so that he has his own for the occasion.

I've seen a few people depict Phoenix as a blue jay character before, either that or a literal phoenix, aha. I don't know a lot about Ace Attorney but I'll never forget the one case where they put a parrot on the stand as a witness. xD Stranger things have happened indeed!

It's a parody of the legal system in Japan, so why not make it ridiculous? Actually the series has had its darker moments as well. While it's not a gory game, it's not shy about using blood.
Say, you know what? I've been rather enchanted by the style of the 3D models in the more recent games, where the cell-shading effect is done more by the texturing, and I've been wanting to try that, but I've been too lazy to do it on my own characters. But I think Corvus is a good character for me to try. If you're up for it.

That's probably best, I've been overworking my drawing arm lately so I've decided to take it easy for a bit. ^^' Poses take me a long time to do even without that anyway.
