This is (yerf) MandoAndy's character Marty in a fairy tale setting, as the young victim of the Snow Queen's vices (from the Dutch fairytale of the same name). Yes she's a Lynx, but Lynxes rule. The End.

Hmm - in the 'international fairy tales book' I've got, it doesn't mention an author. Someone on Elfwood thought it was a Russian folktale. So I'm not sure. It's under Dutch fairytales in my book. Of course, so many fairytales tend to borrow from each other, there could be a few versions of this story.
I'm not sure it's HCA, just because there's a little bit of sexual coming-of-age implied in the main characters of the story (a young girl and boy). They are best friends, but the boy becomes wild and hateful when he grows up and the coldness in his heart that hurts his childhood friend's feelings is what calls the Snow Queen to him. He is charmed by her (which can be an implication of sexual attraction to an older and more sexually active woman) and it is her kiss the freezes his heart.
There is also the matter that he can only free himself from her clutches if he spells a word in the ice that she cannot understand (love). The young girl must do this for him because with his heart frozen by the Queen, he cannot understand the word himself.
Anderson is often less lovey-dovey and more moralistic without going into the sexual playing field. (Of course I could be wrong...it happens...far too often...v.v;;)
And yes, here the Queen is freezing his heart with a touch because I most certainly wasn't going to have her kiss him when the character of "Marty" was described as a 12 year old.
