As a friend of mine and I experiment on how the plot would unfold in The Mindwave Chronicles, I thought of what Red and Gary would look like. Instead of using their canon designs, I made my own redesigns of the boys, and that's when I decided to make an illustration of the whole ensemble.
So here, this Red/Satoshi Akai is basically a mashup of Red from the games and Ash Ketchum from the anime. As for the background, I did some thinking before I settled for an observatory.
