I am designing a series of toys, based off various Indigenous styles of art. The line will include various animals that reoccur in the local myth, with variations on designs based on some iconic- but not culturally appropriated- characters.
I will be submitting them for production on Patchtogether (www.patchtogether.com).
How it works:
You go to Patchtogether and vote on your favorite designs, aimed to be created into toys. If you get enough votes, the toy goes into a “product on demand” status. This means, the toy goes into a preorder status. Once they get enough preorders (minimum 50), it goes into production, and all who pre-ordered get the toy! Don't worry- the process takes a good month or more- so you have PLENTY of time to save up for the toy!

Please go and vote! It doesn’t cost you anything, and it’s non obligatory to buy!
Featuring here- Wago [wasco].
Wasgo is a North West Pacific Sea monster; found in legend and crest in multiple cultures of the NWP. Depicted as a half wolf, half orca, it would have 3 dorsal fins, and fins protruding from its flogs. Neither good or evil- simply another of the supernatural beings that dwelt along the coastal shores, Wasgo would be a prominent figure in oral traditional culture.
For this figure, I aim to have moving limbs, as well as a rotating tail. I wanted to intersect the body 3 times around the dorsal fins so one could really twist his figure in a sea-monster worthy pose. I also wanted to have an articulated jaw, but let’s not push the price of the toy any higher than necessary.
Thanks to all for your on going support!
