I really need to work on dealing with acrylics X.X. I'm so use to oils and how they spread, and acrylics...don't. Beautiful piece here. Great lighting, wonderful execution of shading, and the contrast is spot on perfect here. +fav :)

I'm just remembering that akitas with black face shouldn't be called that anymore ^^;;...and that's just because my friend always tends to 'correct' me if I say akita meaning a dog sort of that with black face -___-;;;...

As far as I'm aware the black mask is a common colouration in Akitas. The one I based this painting on is a prize winner. Of course, standards go change so I could be wrong:)

Well, in a way you're right even if you'd be wrong since Great's are still akitas even if they have been gatecorized a bit differently ^^...

Trust me, that frustration never really goes away:P
