After he dies, he comes back to life because Eleanor (His little sister) sends the younger little sisters to the Vita chambers with his DNA, and they "revive" him that way.
Since the Vita Chambers only work if you die a physical death, that's kind of the idea behind it...If your BRAIN "dies", you won't be able to be revived at the vita-chambers. :(
So sad...I honestly thought this = best intro for a game, in a loooong time...
