After my hard disk died on me i thought i had lost this,
lucky me, i saved a backup on my Sansa mp3 player :D
Believe it or not:
this started life as an attempt to sequence the "Amen" Break, and to figure it out.
the original midi file this was made from i sequenced over 2 years ago and let sit.
your listening to hardware that's over 13 years old.
I finished this wearing a long sleeve shirt- something i never wear
no its not butter, i swear.
the 333Mhz PII in this PC is too slow to watch youtube videos, yet i can play GTA VC on it at 20 FPS. what the hell?
anyway, my life right now is pretty much hell, but i had to do something to take my mind off it, so i broke my mental block with this, its not the best thing my speakers ever shat out, but its something :D
the deep thump you hear, is the standard midi instrument "drawbar organ 1"
i just layered about 10 really short notes to make it sound like a kick drum
the up and down plinky sounds was somewhat by accident, i got bored and just drew a design in the sequencer, and then hit play and it shat those out and i was like COOL :D lol.
im not very scientific about making music, i just try one thing after another, and move on when something sounds good to the next note :P of course i lay out a rhythm track first most of the time though...
----Disclaimer----
IM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF THIS BLOWS YOUR SPEAKER CONES OUT OF THEIR SURROUNDS AND ACROSS THE ROOM, TURN YOUR COMPUTER DOWN BEFORE PRESSING PLAY!
Seriously, this could damage your equipment :P
that final note is F zero; 4 octaves below middle C, and as low as my sequencer goes.. lol

The closest i have to a G200, is a Matrox card called the Millennium I card
which isn't a 3d card, and wouldn't even be good for Doom 1... (max res is 1024X768x16 colors, it would be higher with a ram daughterboard though)
-its a true relic...
I could have done this on an Opl2 - i have a Soundblaster 2.0 from 1992
(currently installed in an original IBM XT with an 8088 Intel xD)
- it has a bunch of TTL parts, and it picks up tons of interference, and its max sampling rate is something like 11,000hz... i had to replace a Capacitor to make it work again. :D
theres only 2 reasons my computer can run GTA:
-the Superman sticker on the side of my case
-the pinwheels behind the fans
-the little prayer i have to say before starting it up (please don't let it burst into flames)
-all of these make it go faster
staying in a good mood helps,
kicking tons of ass in GTA helps me stay in a good mood,
-positive feedback loop for the win!

Hi again!
for the soundblaster part:
-Soundblaster 2.0 is stereo 8bits 22,5Khz
-I have 2 Soundblaster 2.0 (8bit) And one has indeed su much interference, you have to pull the plug if youre not listening to music.
-You should get a clean Adlib clone, a VGA/SVGA card and then you can use the Neo Tracker. (CGA/EGA wont work because NeoTracker has a 50 lines screen, and youd see the lower half)
-Most older 16bit svga cards work in any PC/XT clone. (My original 128K doesnt work).
for the GTA part:
My Matrox G400 has alot of features.
-Dual internal 256bit memory interface
-enviromental bump mapping
-2 parallel pixel render pipes ,1 texture unit each
-200mhz 128bit 32MB SGRAM
-smooth bilinear filtering
but also no T&L.
Altrhough, i overclocked the card to over 200Mhz from 150. Then the speed as only 20% lower than a Geforce 2MX (SDR). Which sounds poor, but GTA3 was smooth. I eventually sold the board, but i still have the card.

Im just a poor guy who puts computers together with the best junk the curb has to offer, and i use free software almost exclusively.
the machine i use everyday is the one i made this tune with:
my newer motherboard crapped out on me a month ago, so im using a much older setup, but i only finished building it a few weeks ago (with very old parts)
i wouldn't say im proud to own this computer (even i think its a peice of sh1t)
it will Barely run vice city, and it amazed me when San Andreas actually booted and started running.
the good news: these games are actually kinda easier when they play in slow-mo xD
i just take what i can get, and make what i got better, after all, thats all you can do when your broke ;D
