If you look up "John Elaine Tom" on wikipedia (these are the names of the main characters) and click the first page that comes up (Elaine Scott), you should be able to find out. I think the information is wrong, but the names are there :3

This story is based off a dream I had while listening to Half a World Away by REM. It was like a music video to the song, and it's the main reason I wrote this thing down. The images are still very clear in my head, though many of the more strking ones, like a car hitting a tree and certain bits of drunkness were omitted and replaced with other images.

I know it's kind of long. Please don't be discouraged. It should turn out to be a quick read.
