Taking good decisions wasn't Daniel's best attribute, most of his choices were made by his own instinct without thinking about the consequences. However, all of his acts had a reason: recognition from people of his hometown. For years, he has heard them talking about pokemon who became kings, battle champions, or even heroes, so he made up his mind; he would be someone that famous someday.

The pikachu tried fighting stronger pokemon, saving money to become a king, helped some people with their needs, but his effort is worthless. Nobody will ever recognize him as a strong boy, king nor a hero... yet
