The blue hedgehog gifted with incredible speed was frequently out for a run. When he wasn't running, he was either hanging out with his friends or just relaxing on his own. Today he had returned home from an early morning run, kicking his shoes off and getting some rest for later. On such occasions, his loyal fox friend would get the chance to sneak into his room to get acquainted with his most important belonging, his shiny shoes. More accurately he was interested in the smell that was left behind in the shoe by his heroic idol. It wasn't a stench he was after, but rather his bigger brother's odor. He had such respect for him that even a slight whiff of the blue boy made him enthusiastic, it felt like a strengthening family bound.

However, Tails wanted more of it, he wanted to surround himself in Sonic's scent. Which is why he experimented around on his shrink device, allowing him to become small enough to fit in the speedster's shoe. He was hesitant at first but eventually went for it anyway, shrinking himself to the size of a small ant. The first moment he found himself shrunk down was so intoxicating that he dropped his shrink device upon looking at the mountain-sized shoes. With the device completely out of mind, he prepared for take-off. As he flew into the gigantic shoe he noticed how much warmer his surroundings became, it was a very welcoming present to the tiny fox. But what got him excited the most was definitely the smell that was coming from every corner. He landed on the spongy floor that radiated most of the heat.

Sonic's foot had surely left quite an impression in the massive shoe. The two-tailed crumb could tell that his older brother had just recently taken off his shoe. The amazing scent of Sonic's foot was playing around with the fox's nose, luring him in practically every direction. His nose took several deep whiffs of the surrounding, encouraging him to explore the hedgehog's cave further. As both heat and smell played in perfect correlation, the shrunken boy could only imagine what Sonic's colossal foot had done to the entire surrounding. Sonic could run for hours, slamming his foot several million times onto his insole, allowing the heat to be absorbed into the fabric of his shoe and the smell to build up. Just the idea of a foot that big working on such an enormous environment teased the mind of the fleaboy, making him both feel small but also appreciative of the blue giant.

As the exploration of the shoe continued, Tails noticed minor differences in each scent. Every spot had a slightly different smell to it, something that a normal person probably wouldn't pick up on, but the curious bugboy did. All those stunning scents had been building up in the hedgehog's titanic shoe for years, each one telling its own adventure. Eager as he was, the little fox tried to imagine how each smell he was whiffing accumulated by reminiscing about the blue god's adventures. That slight sour aroma in the heel's corner probably coming from that one time he got a whole tribe off an island before a volcano erupted, the slim salty taste from the very middle of the insole most likely coming from his heroic deed when he extinguished an entire city that was slowly burning to ashes, or even that powerful scent left behind by the boy's gargantuan toes in the tip of the shoe as he raced to different cities across the earth within seconds to stop rampaging robots from harming innocent people.
