This reminds me of a funny contradiction in American culture- the stores want/have to encourage Social Distancing to slow the spread of disease, but at the same time, Easter Celebrations are a huge moneymaker. So we get this nice paradox on the overhead speakers in the stores:

“Shoppers and Associates, please join us in practicing Social Distancing! Avoid large gatherings and parties to help reduce the spread of germs! We can all work together to stay safe and healthy!”

2 second pause, then

“HEY SHOPPERS! For your BIG EASTER PARTY THIS YEAR-!” and so on about sales for Easter (in my mind, 50% off of a product marked to three times its normal cost doesn’t amount to a great sale, but ;P)
