Gizmo underwent various changes to become the Snow Leopard we know him as today. Originally raised in an unknown country, Gizmo was enlisted at a very young age to fight a secret war with the super power that is Eden. Being exceptionally intelligent for his age, Gizmo was assigned on a mission with his comrade Vasco to infiltrate Eden and weaken it from within. However things didn't go as planned, and Gizmo and Vasco were cut off from their homeland, stranded in Eden. Rather than try to continue their mission, the two decided that they would abandon it, and try to make new lives for themselves in this new country.

With Gizmo's intelligence and Vasco's charisma, the two managed to establish themselves within the criminal underworld of Eden. Within seven years, Vasco had become the lord of his own criminal empire, and Gizmo had pursued a life of invention and experimentation, often selling his creations to anyone willing to buy them, no matter who they were. This lifestyle forced Gizmo into becoming a recluse, staying deep within his lab for weeks at a time, hiding right under Eden's nose.
