Nemui had never been a warrior in the past. As a cub, she excelled solely in healing and purification. Back then, the water listened to her and bent to her will, every other element shunning her attempts at wielding them. She was unsure if it was due to her weakness, or if she simply wasn’t ready, but found solace in knowing at least one Elemental embraced her meek existence.
The ursa reflected on this memory as she utilized her combined water and lightning to blast back an inky wave of darkness bearing down upon her. Holding Lullay tightly in her calloused hands, she stared down the behemoth from where the torrent originated, staff held confidently before her, the bell adorning the crystal weapon not chiming, but ringing out a desolate death knell. It was a wordless challenge, the bear standing poised and elegant, not even slightly bothered or set off guard by the Nightmare. She was serene, her eyes relaxed as she exhaled frost into the sizzling air of the dreamer’s mental battlefield. “Come on, then. Show me what a Nightmare can do.” she said calmly, a slight smirk coming to her lips as the darkness roared back at her. She raised Lullay, slamming the staff down with a resonating *ding* filling the air and a gentle laugh.
“I can do this all night!”
