This was done on a large canvass with Acrylics, modeling compound and gold leaf.

I could see a deep blue couch in the background of some of the photos she sent me, so I used that colour in the painting so that when she hung it up in her lounge-room the painting would match her furniture.
It turns out that deep blue is her favorite colour. :heart:
In any case, she was quite please with it.

I used gold leaf in the eyes so that when you walk past it his eyes shine. It looks much much cooler in real life, especially when the light hits it and the eyes glow. But me dear watches, you'll just have to settle for this version instead.
