once upon a Looooong time ago when twinkies "went away for a while" I made my own version from scratch... they were not as good, but I had them.

I've chocolate dipped them, and fried them, but I've never french toasted them

Dang, they brought back the original flavor - Banana. Oh well, I can't eat the dang things due to Celiac disease.
Hmmm put goggles on Twinkie the Kid there and you got a Minion
