My new home computer system is built inside a Micronics Frontier M400 case, which comes with three pre-installed LED fans. The fans look cool while they are cooling the system. This pair draws in air from the front. I played around a lot with a range of shutter speeds. 1/1250 second gave me this near-stop-action image of the fan blades.

Right, and for something that sits under my desk, barely visible, something glitzy is a bit of a waste. Even with the lighted fans and glass sides, this is subdued compared to some. It's a good quality enclosure for only about $50. The only wonky thing about it is the flimsy pair of hard drive mounts, which don't really like to stay shut.
These closeups of your new build remind me of your automotive shots in your very good eye for detail, but I find myself responding to these differently.
It's no secret that I'm a car guy, and part of the fun I have with the auto pics is ID'ing the vehicle from some small detail. And I like your way with perspective, reflections, all that.
Now all the technical computer knowledge I have would fit in a shot glass...totally clueless! So when I first see the thumbnail of one of these I puzzle over it -- what is that?? If anything, my lack of knowledge is kind of neat. Since I have no idea what I'm looking at, I have a more abstract sort of response to these ones. In this picture, those fans could be 3 inches or 30 feet across.
Very cool stuff!

Thanks. I was going for the same sort of vibe, close-in on details that you might never notice or even see. The nice thing about the vehicles is you don't need to use a macro lens to get in tight on the little details. If these look abstract to you, then I've succeeded.
