Commission for a client.
Many folks want to get Raven Stealing the Sun tattooed on them. I guess it's becuase it's the most well-known [perpetuated] myth from the North West Pacific.
Either way, I find myself having to redraw the same concept over and over so that each time it remains unique to every client. And yet, every time I am asked, I envision another image- so it's not hard at all. :)
Once again, the image is sole property of the owner and myself. Do not use, redistribute, or take this property.

Many people do actually. I work without breaking any of the taboos, or including culturally appropriated materials in my work, so the tattoos I design are void of cultural significance, and can be worn by a non-community member. So you will KNOW you are not going to be stepping on any cultural taboos! :)
XD
A little correction: my film is called "When Raven stole the MOON", this is the Oral Traditional legend of "Raven steals the Sun". It's basically the same concept, but the motivations and the outcomes are totally different. XD
If you ever want a tattoo of my Eagle, I'd be happy to take that commission and do one up just for you! He's a cute birds with a lot of people fangirling over him. Who knew that big dude would be so popular? XD

Bring that back :).
I love the mischievous look in Raven's eye. It's amazing picture. You have a high talent for doing these images. There are lot of people that try and make aboriginal art, or spiritual art, they look good but they lack something that you put into them.. and that's your own soul and spirit

LOL!
I was trying to figure out what "Bring that back" meant.. and I was like- did I say something again in my statement? What's he referring to? And then is dawned on me (no pun intended).
I think it's not only personal spirit- but understanding thee actual culture and taboos of the culture that goes along with the style. Many people think they are being "Spiritual" or "Native" just by drawing a specific design, or style, or knowing a grain of info on the culture- but in truth it's not even a solid foundation to grow upon, let alone reflect the cultural concepts of an entire nation. If anything, I have to attribute my capacity to all the amazing teachers and Elders I have had to coach me along the way!
