You can just choose 9 different materials (you can look for what other artist draw in these studies), and try to draw it - with photo references and stuff! There's a lot of references on the pinterest as example ^^
That's what i did. It's not gonna be perfect from the first time (mine has a lot of mistakes), but it's a really good practice!
