The staff itself is tall compared to normal humans but the 707 (Flickrtail) is 7'8" (which means he's prime material for the ladies for tall men.) Thanks to that the base weapon is easy for him, there is also no significant weight to the blade itself due to its plasma nature. This goes to show that the blade itself it's more useful for cutting by burning through its target rather than using force (even though it's user a strong enough to apply said force)
