Someone recently asked me if I did any sculpting. It has been a long time but I have done SOME. However not many people have seen them lately.
This was done for my own reference. I was doing some artwork of datalis, a race of artificially created aliens by Charles Gray. They have a strange shaped skull that I was having trouble keeping consistent from one picture to the next.
I generally refer to her as Lightbulb Head as she was sculpted over a light bulb to cut down on the amount of Super Sculpy needed. Her teeth where molded with a hard two part epoxy clay. The eyes where probably the most time consuming element as they where painted in place on the Super Sculpy and then coated with dozens of layers of clear model paint to create the cornea.
