Was reading about solid-core NTRs on Atomic Rockets and saw the part about NTR SSTOs being impossible. And to that I said, "CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!". So I tried to design an NTR in COADE with a TWR over 10, and I was successful! By using a composite fuel tank for the hydrogen I was able to make this thing carry a payload too. It has a delta-v over 9km/s, a wet TWR over 1, and a chamber pressure above 20atm! I think this thing actually works! Feel free to poke as many holes in my math as you can, 'cause chances are I did not in fact outsmart someone with a doctorate degree and decades of experience.
