The punk look is awesome and honestly, I'm gutted I missed out on it at its best! Did you ever read Boy George's memoir - it's called Take It Like A Man. While he developed his own style that wasn't quite punk, he started out very interested in the scene.

I tell you something though: I bet that a punk ethos of anti-consumerism, anti-conformity, etc. meshes with an anthro world. Everything from clothes to infrastructure has to fit a wide range of species, which would make manufacture hellish (and likely expensive; if you can't make a cookie-cutter version of something to sell en masse it costs more to make), so individualising things at home would probably be the done thing.
Which in turn means that some people would be dedicated to doing it with style!
