Let's not go there with the social distancing. Being former U.S. Army in the late 70s I had NBC training... social distanceing just makes sheeple and non thinking people feel safe... have you wondered where they came up with the 6 foot rule? In a graveyard the graves are 6 feet apart... m
Now think of the symbolism found there.

Now look at your driver's license or state ID you will notice your name is in all capital letters that represents one of two things a corporation or a dead person...

No idea what NBC training is. I do remember the late 70s I wasn't in middle school yet as to my comment about social distancing I was trying to be silly as that roof is at least s 100feet away

Oh sorry Nuclear Biological Chemical Contamination Training, NBC for short. One of the first few questions you are asked are, can viruses be filtered and how long does it take an air borne virus to circle the globe? The answer is you can't fully filter viruses the best you can do is slow them down. It takes 2 to 5 weeks for a air borne viruse to circle the globe... with the Mount Saint Helens eruption proved it takes two to three weeks to cover a hemisphere and over time the volcanic dust covered the entire globe.

Yes I forgot how much I miss it too. I use to live about a half mile from where this was taken.

I grew up on Sinclair Inlet and loved seeing the sunsets over the Olympics and Navy ships heading for overhaul

Very nice ... Like at home. I really live in the Sub Carpathian Mountains - not in the Rocky Mountains, so we have a smaller height difference here and everything is covered in forest. Mostly spruce and pine.

It's surprising how many places can look so similar and be so far apart.

It is beautiful here and I enjoy living here the cost of living here keeps going up faster than inflation. If you go off island the ferry to get back for car and driver is right at 60 bucks now. Even with the drop in gas prices regular is 2.85 a gallon.

Then we get into the local and state politics. Both becoming more restrictive of one's personal rights. And what you can do on your own property... the country demands you get a permit for a small pole building... one guy is still waiting after 6 months. Oddly there is very little building going on out here unless its a multi-million dollar home/edifice being put up by some rich cat that greased the political Wheels to get his permit fast-tracked

There are other reasons for looking to move off the island.
