One of the cool things about the MC-909 is while the on-board keyboard is still a row of rubberized pads, at least they're in the layout of a piano keyboard (the 505 has white and black buttons, but they're still all in a row) and surprise surprise, they're velocity sensitive! So I was able to lay out that opening ride-cymbal riff in one take, varying how hard I thumped the key.

I especially like this tune because it has this air of desperation to me. A certain urgency to it.
