I can't tell you how sore I was when I took this picture. I can't tell you how much more sore I got after the picture was taken. I can't tell you how frustrated my job can be. I can't tell you how many problems there are working for the US Government. I can tell you that I put up with it and go through it all to get to places like this. Despite all the trials, despite all the rage that bureaucracy instills in me, despite all the pain and lasting physical damage I have sustained in this line of work, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I will gladly devote my life's work to make sure that everyone else who wishes to go here can travel to it and enjoy its pristine beauty, however burned it may be. The burn is what gives it the character that unburned forest simply lacks.
