Barefoot makes me think of the hippies in the sixties (I was born in 1955)

I missed out on the 60s. I was born in '74. I just like bare feet. I think the bottoms of their feet may be well-padded for the rough terrain.

Umm... I dunno. Depends on what frumpish means.

In our house, being "frumpy" or "frumpish" is when our cat is angry while sulking and complains if anyone touches her while in an angry-sulky mood because she wanted to be played with 2 minutes ago and now she's too upset at us to play. She becomes a fuzzy ball of "leave me alone". Its a combination of "fuzzy" and "grumpy".

The dictionary has a different definition, but we make up our own.. lol
